[6.4] Task 6: An emoji story

In this digital storytelling project, I explore how emojis our everyday visual language can express complex stories across films, books, and television. By translating narratives into emoji "scripts," which can help me to experiment how meaning is constructed, reduced, and reimagined through symbols.

In this exploration, I used Orphan Black and Travelers to examine how digital symbols convey emotion, identity, and the influence of technology on the human experience. With the help of EmojiKeyboard.io and ChatGPT, I discovered how ideas can be both represented and simplified when filtered through digital tools. Inspired by Hayles (2003) and her call to move "deeper into the machine," this project encourages critical reflection on how technology reshapes storytelling, literacy, and creativity in our connected world.
